Golden, crispy puff pastry encases the duck breast and Comté cheese, enhanced by a spiced cranberry confit. A festive and flavorful combination for an irresistible starter or appetizer.

Ingredients

·        Puff pastry

· Slices of beechwood-smoked duck breast (Edouard Artzner)

· Spiced Cranberry Confit (The Epicurean)

·         Cheese (Comté or Tomme de brebis)

·        Egg yolk

👨🍳 Preparation:

1.     Place a spoonful of spiced cranberry confit on the puff pastry.

2.     Add thin slices of Comté cheese on top.

3.     Arrange the slices of smoked duck breast

4.     Moisten the edges with water using a brush to help the dough stick.

5.      Fold the puff pastry over the filling.

6.     Brush with egg yolk

7.     Bake in a preheated oven (200°C) for 20 to 30 minutes.
