Kanelbullar with orange marmalade

Preparation time: 35-40 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes


For 8 buns


      Mix all the ingredients except the jam and knead (by hand or in a food processor) for 10 to 15 minutes.

      Form a ball, place it in a large bowl and cover with a clean kitchen towel.

      Leave to swell like this for 2 hours.

      Degas the dough and divide it into 8 equal balls.

      Roll each one out into a rectangle on a floured work surface.

      Spread with orange jam and roll up the dough so as to keep the longest length.

      Using a knife, cut the dough in half lengthwise.

      Twist the pieces together, roll up and tie a knot.

      Place each kanelbullar on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, keeping space between each one.

      Cover with a tea towel again and leave to rise for 1 hour.

      Brush the kanelbullars with milk or egg yolk.

      Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden brown to your liking.

      Enjoy warm or cold, for breakfast or as a snack.
